About us
We are a family-run wholesale native nursery nestled in the Perth Hills, dedicated to growing and supplying high-quality native Eremophila plants. With a strong focus on hardy, drought-tolerant species, our passion lies in growing plants that thrive in WA's outback.
Founded by Phil James back in 2000, the nursery continues today with the support of his daughter Kathryn, and her partner Michael. The family business represents a deep appreciation for the rich diversity of Eremophila plants.
From propagation to supply, every step reflects a genuine love for the Eremophila plant.
Fun Fact: Eremophila jamsieorum (pictured left) is named after Phil, a nod to his passion for discovering new Eremophila species in Western Australia’s outback. 🌱

Our focus is on sharing more and more of the beautiful drought tolerant Eremophila species with others. We sell to landscapers and retailers. Members of the public can book an appointment for the weekends.

Phil's mission
As founder of the business, Phil's passion is making sure the unique species he has acquired over the years, continue to live on and thrive. Through propagating via cuttings and grafting he's determined to build up his collection with a view to sharing with others.
He's always on the lookout for new species too!

Eremophila is a genus of over 200 species of flowering plants endemic to Australia - commonly called Emu Bush, Poverty Bush, Tar or Turpentine Bush. They grow spectacular flowers, with 80%+ species endemic to Western Australia.
They are well adapted to arid conditions, with many species valued for their beautiful vivid flowers, diverse range of foliage, and ability to thrive in dry climates.

Eremophilas are a superior choice for Perth gardens because they’re naturally adapted to Western Australia’s hot, dry climate, meaning they need less water once established.
They produce vibrant flowers that attract birds like honeyeaters and various bee species, adding colour and life to your garden with minimal maintenance. They also love a good prune!

Eremophila have a huge range of flower colours, from vibrant yellow to smooth cream, bright purple to lilac, burnt orange, vibrant reds, white, magentas, hot pink to dusky pink.
It all depends on the type of plant you choose as there are so many varieties, shapes and sizes to choose from.
Bushland Garden in York have a stunning display of very mature Eremophilas. Located on Grey Street, York it is certainly worth a look!
